dragand vs Dropover
Dropover opens a floating shelf when you shake the pointer while dragging, and it's packed with extras: named shelves, cloud uploads and share links, and instant actions. dragand is narrower on purpose: one shelf on the screen edge where a held copy clears itself after 24 hours and a kept file can be put back where it came from.

Where each fits
Different apps for different habits.
Where dragand fits better
- Nothing to tidy. Held copies clear themselves after 24 hours, so the shelf stays short without you sorting it.
- Always in the same place. dragand comes in at the screen edge as you drag towards it. No gesture to learn, and nothing floating over your work.
- Private by design. No uploads and no share links: files and clipboard never leave your Mac. The only connection is the purchase check.
Where Dropover is the better pick
- Sharing and uploads. Dropover can upload a shelf to the cloud and give you a link, with expiry. dragand has no sharing on purpose.
- Many named shelves. If you sort work into several shelves at once (per project, per client), Dropover is built for that.
- A free tier. Dropover is free to download and use, with Pro as an upgrade.
